| In
order to provide easy access to the Garden State Greenways
vision, maps detailing important hubs and their potential
connectors were created for each county. To provide context
to the user, these maps contain existing open space, municipal
boundaries and roads, as well as information for border
areas outside the county.
The maps are in pdf format at a 1:55,000 scale, making
them poster-sized for maximum detail. If your interests
are not county-wide, you may zoom in and print portions
of the map. However, we advise that you do not zoom
in past 100% or the limitations of the data will overwhelm
any apparent increase in quality. If you do not currently
have pdf compatible software, you can download a free
version of Adobe Reader here:
Due to the changing nature of New Jersey’s landscape,
discrepancies between mapped information and the real
world are inevitable. Although great care has been taken
to present the most up to date and accurate information,
inconsistencies may exist. In addition to discrepancies
inherent in digital data, open space information can
be variably interpreted.
Opening the County Maps
Click a county to view the Garden State Greenways Map
for that county. A separate browser window will appear
where the map will open. You may also download a map by right clicking
on the county, and choosing ‘Save Target As’.
Please be patient. The GSG
County Maps contain a lot of information and will take
time to load. *Please note that the State map is 1:255,000 scale and contains less detail than the county maps.
